An extremely successful inaugural Otago regional RoboCup competition was held on 28 July in the Hutton Theatre at Otago Museum.
RoboCup Junior is a national and international Robotics Competition for all Primary and Secondary students. Student teams develop robots to compete in one or more of three competitions. These are Dance, Soccer and Rescue. This competition is now in its fourth year in New Zealand. It feeds from regional competitions in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and Dunedin into a national competition. There are also finals at Australasian and International levels.
